How to become a GitHub Education student π©π½π
Ready to get your GitHub education? Joining is simple. Anyone can collaborate in unlimited public and private repositories with GitHub Free. As a student, you can also apply for GitHub Education student benefits, all included in a special GitHub Education portal.
To be eligible for GitHub Education, you must (provided link in comment):
π Be currently enrolled in a degree or diploma-granting organization, such as a high school, secondary school, college, university, homeschool, or similar educational institution
π Have a verifiable school-issued email address or upload documents that prove your current student status
π Have a personal GitHub account
π§ Be at least 13 years old
Documents that prove your current student status include a picture of your school ID with current enrollment date, class schedule, transcript, and affiliation or enrollment verification letter.
During your tenure as a student, you may be prompted to periodically re-verify your current academic status.
